Hire developers to build a booking platform
Slots, calendars, payments, confirmations and reminders, so customers can book without a phone call and nobody gets double-booked.
Hiring model that usually fits
Project based
The booking rules can be written down and quoted. Reminders, integrations and reports are often added afterwards by the hour.
Booking looks simple until two people take the same slot, a customer cancels late, or staff work different hours. The work is in the rules behind the calendar.
The developer needs to get availability, time zones and cancellations right first, then build the booking screens on top.
What it usually includes
- Availability by staff, room, resource or location
- A booking flow customers finish on a phone
- Payments or deposits at the time of booking
- Email, SMS or WhatsApp confirmations and reminders
- Rescheduling and cancellation rules
- A staff view of the day, with changes as they happen
Usually built with
The stack depends on what you already run and who will maintain it. These are the ones we reach for most.
Worth deciding before you start
None of these need a final answer to get in touch. Each one you can answer saves a round of questions.
- What is being booked: people, rooms, equipment, classes
- How availability works, including breaks and holidays
- Your rules for deposits, cancellations and no-shows
- Which reminders customers should receive, and how
- Any calendar or system it must sync with
Common questions
Can it sync with Google Calendar?
Yes, in most cases, so staff see bookings where they already look. The detail is in how changes on either side are handled, which we agree before building.
How do you prevent double bookings?
Slots are reserved at the moment a booking starts and checked again on payment, so two people cannot complete the same slot.
A few lines is enough to start. We reply by email, usually the same working day.
