Hiring models

Hire a developer the way the work actually needs.

One defined project, a block of hours, or a developer who stays month to month. Pick the arrangement that matches the work, not the other way round.

Discuss Monthly Hiring

The three models, side by side

The same developers are available on all three. What changes is how you pay and how much you commit to.

You need to knowWhat the finished result isRoughly what to work on nextThat the work will carry on

Not sure which? Three questions.

  1. Can you describe the finished result today?

    If yes Project based

A fixed scope can be quoted, and you know the full cost before anyone starts.

  2. Is the work irregular, or hard to size up front?

    If yes Hourly

You pay for what is done, with nothing to commit to and nothing to estimate.

  3. Will the product still need work after it launches?

    If yes Monthly

The same developer stays with it, so nobody has to relearn your code each time.

Common questions

Can I switch models later?

Yes. A common path is a defined project first, then monthly once the product is live. Switching is agreed in writing, like everything else.

Is the developer the same on every model?

The same pool of developers works on all three. The model changes the billing and commitment, not who you can hire.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. Project work ends when the scope is delivered, hourly work stops when you say so, and monthly runs month to month.

What if I pick the wrong model?

Tell us and we change it. The first milestone exists partly so this becomes clear early, before much has been spent.

Tell us what you are building.

A few lines is enough to start. We reply by email, usually the same working day.
