What moves an hourly rate
The published rates are starting points. The person and the work set the actual number.
Seniority
A developer starts from $10/hr and a senior developer from $25/hr. Senior people cost more and usually need less direction.
The stack
Some skills are easier to find than others. A rarer stack is priced accordingly.
How much judgement the work needs
Well-defined tasks cost less per hour than open problems that need someone to make decisions.
Working-hours overlap
If you need the developer online during your own working hours, say so. It narrows who can take the work.

Common questions
Why no fixed packages?
Because two websites or two apps are rarely the same amount of work. A package either overcharges the small job or underquotes the large one.
When do I pay?
Payment terms are agreed in writing before work begins, along with scope, fees and timelines.
What if I cancel?
Unused prepaid hours are refunded in full, and advance payments for work not yet started are refunded. The refund policy has the detail.
Are prices in dollars only?
Rates are published in US dollars. Ask if you need a quote in another currency.
